IGOLPING enters the Korean market

Koreans love golf!  With over 6 million golfers and only 515 courses as of 2010 there was a need to build over 2,000 multi-tiered driving ranges to house about 140,000 stalls throughout the country.  As this wasn't enough to fill the golf craze, over 15,000 indoor screen golf simulators have been installed to accommodate about 1 million golfers per year.  Beyond that, Koreans will frequently take golf vacations to neighboring countries as it is too crowded and too expensive to play on their own courses.

With this growing market, IGOLPING answers the need by bringing the golf course to the driving range.  Bundled with the most complete golf technology system and packaged in the most advanced golf kiosk ever built,  the IGOLPING system enables the student and the teacher to take a journey together with the goal of getting the optimum swing and the optimum game!  According to IGOLPING's CEO Doug Sumaraga, the learning philosophy is a simple one:  "Learn to Play & Play to Learn!"   The program is enhanced with golf teaching professionals and begins by:

  1. Learning the proper swing mechanics and tempo
  2. Getting fit with the optimal equipment and mastering distances
  3. Course strategy and navigation with proper management of one's game

It is expected that most golfers will want to compete, especially when prizes and awards are given for participating and winning!  Aggressive marketing through social networks is expected to create viral growth!

According to Charlie Kong, Golf Teaching Professional and GM, "Never before has there been as advanced a system made available to the golfing population.  It is amazing!"  The system will not only benefit golfers but also golf driving ranges who will get substantial revenue on the same amount of time spent at their driving ranges through the value added service.  Teaching pros will have the benefit of teaching on the system with the simple swipe of their SwingCard.  In addition, sales commission is generated by selling member cards to their students.  After hitting 10 balls within a 1 yard radius, Miss Yu a top KLPGA players says, "This system is very accurate, and it would enhance any golfer's practice time, I like it a lot!"
